Sherman

The Shermans desired a stunning fixture when coming into their entryway.  In working with designer Richard Gordon, Carlyn designed this piece to be view and to aesthetically change from different viewpoints.  The design is two split crescent shapes on different levels.  The canopy has cast glass which is dimly lit with LEDs.  Hanging from the canopy are many glassicles that transition from bronze to clear. Inside each rod are stretched sheets of gold leaf.  Thus, when the lights are on, the lights reflect off the gold leaf and create a gold aurora around the piece.  When the lights are off, the piece is composed of crystal drops with the top of the glass blending into the metal.  This piece transforms with light and creates energy in the space that is majestic.
