Walthall Leaves

“Falling Leaves” is one of Carlyn‘s new favorite projects not only because of how beautiful it looks, but how much fun it was to create each individual leaf.Carlyn came up with this idea with her client David and his wife Elyse and they both loved the idea of leaves, nature, and the way each piece would play with light.We had never incorporated light into each individual piece and that was exciting to learn how to do. Carlyn custom colored each piece differently and also gilded the glass with silver gold and copper leaf.The light reflects off the colors and the metal leaf to sparkle and shimmer.As the light comes in and changes, the piece transforms and comes alive in different ways throughout the day.This piece is magical and was a total joy to create!

Love Field Exhibit

The Art’s Travelers Exhibition Program at Dallas Love Field presents collections that promote diversity in
visual art and provides access to culture to the traveling public.

These 13 cases embody our team’s passion for connecting the beauty of glass as an art for
m by inspiring creativity through color, light, and imagination, while educating on the science, technology, engineering, and math aspects of glass through hands on learning. Once in the terminal, visitors will also see a video of the Carlyn Ray Designs team creating a signature butterfly on the big screen !

The exhibit is across from the rental car counters on the way to baggage claim.

It runs through September 5th and can be enjoyed by anyone, traveling or not!

Dallas Glass Art
