An ecstatic expression of feeling through beauty and inspiration
Around 600 woven colorful strands of hand pulled glass undulate and are suspended in space for this latest art installation at Stanley Korshak at The Crescent in Dallas, TX.
Entitled “Rhapsody,” an ecstatic expression of feeling, this piece represents the Korshak DNA: Community, Values, Uniqueness, and Quality. Carlyn’s feeling around “Rhapsody” is how light, color, and movement all play together to allow this elation of being, just as the Korshak family supports each person coming in the store, discovering what makes them feel confident, unique, and an expression of their highest selves, all through the quality and the feel of what lies on their skin.
Above: Carlyn Ray and her team installing the 12 foot double weaving to appear suspended with dancer like twists, giving life to the piece and this space.
We are delighted to partner with Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center again this year and donate a piece for their 16th annual Art for Advocacy fundraiser, September 16th.
Art for Advocacy celebrates the transformative healing power of art and raises funds and awareness for Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center.
Carlyn Ray Designs collaborated with DCAC to create a signature wall ribbon feature enhanced with fused butterflies created by 7 well deserving young women in the DCAC program. Once their pieces were designed and decorated by each child, they each worked with a glassblowing instructor to create flowers and bubble bowls for themselves.
